Where do barbells mainly focus on training muscles

Gym barbells, weightlifting and other equipment are the most popular among boys, and they are more likely to choose yoga compared to girls. Of course, if you are using barbells for the first time, you will definitely ask, where do barbells mainly exercise muscles? Let's take a look below.

I am a bodybuilder and can provide simple guidance on your questions. Firstly, using the same equipment with different movements can exercise different muscle groups. The following is only a list of commonly used methods for using barbells, for reference only.

1. Flat bench press exercises the pectoralis major muscle. If an upper inclined plate is used, it mainly stimulates the upper part of the pectoralis major muscle, while a lower inclined plate stimulates the lower edge of the pectoralis major muscle.

2. Stand upright and bend the barbell to exercise the biceps muscles.

3. Narrow grip barbell flat bench press to exercise the triceps muscles of the humerus

4. Push the forehead on the neck of the barbell. If it is in front of the neck, it exercises the anterior and middle bundles of the deltoid muscle, and behind the neck, it exercises the posterior and middle bundles.

5. Barbell squat and barbell scissor squat are both exercises for the thigh muscles

6. Bending over the barbell while rowing is a way to exercise the back muscles.

How can I train my arms without a barbell

Who said you can't train arm muscles without barbells? It's pure nonsense. If you want to train arm muscles, you can choose to use towel lifts instead of dumbbell lifts. Towel bending exercises can reach the biceps and forearm muscles. This is a simple and effective exercise. Unlike using heavy objects, you can always provide your arms with very appropriate resistance throughout the entire movement.

Firstly, stand against the wall to maintain balance, grab both ends of a normal sized beach towel or bath towel with both hands, lift one leg (whichever leg works), and let the towel wrap around your feet. Pull the towel up until you can no longer pull it up, usually at an angle of about 30 degrees between your forearm and upper arm. During the process of pulling the towel upwards, use your legs to provide resistance to your arms, and the entire process should take 5 seconds to count by yourself. Then, for another 5 seconds, use the strength of your legs to pull down your hand.

Attention: Only your forearm is moving, your elbows should be fixed on both sides of your body, and your upper arms should always be perpendicular to the ground. If you always use your full strength during the movement, then no matter what level of strength you have, you only need to complete 5 repetitions.

You may need to do one or two sets before you can adapt to the feeling of using your body and fighting against yourself. Of course, your biceps are definitely not a match for your legs. Remember to pull the towel with all your strength, as if you were about to tear it apart (don't worry, you don't have that much strength), while slowly lifting or lowering your legs.
